VP0902B Tab Content VP0905 Excellent productI am a nurse who has worn out her thumb from all the miscellaneous tasks nurses perform (popping meds, clamping, gripping, etc,,,,); this brace makes the difference!!! It stabilizes my thumb yet allows me to keep going…. I’m buying 2 of themBetter than devicesgiven in therapyMy wife is a retired nurse and says that this device is better than the braces she has received in therapy. It is unintrusive and has relieved her pain. She uses her right hand constantly in her crafting and likes the range of motion. It is great for the intricate crafting work she does.Helps!Provides good support while I’m working and typing all day!Great support alleviates painI love how this brace is not bulky. It provides support at thumb base without completely restricting mobility. Repeat purchase.Thumb painMy thumb was aching from tendinitis. The brace fit perfectly and still allowed me to utilize the mouse and computer. Most comfortable thumb braceThe brace is very comfortable, zero irritation or chafing. The material is plush and soft and the hard brace inside ergonomic keeping my thumb it the right place yet allowing mobility.Helps with swollen painful thumb jointMy husband was experiencing pain and swelling in his thumb joint from repetitive motion through the years. He has tried analgesic creams but this brace works very well without having pain and swelling. He can play his bass guitar and play piano with it on and does not interfere performing.Easy to Use and Works on Either HandI’ve found this brace easy to use, and one reason I recommend it is that the layers are stitched together, not just bonded, so it’s going to last longer. I just washed it in the washing machine, using a lingerie bag, and it washed well.Great productPretty comfortable to wear, depending on location of velcro on thumb. Decent range of motion and definitely keeps the thumb stable where needs to be.Perfect amount of mobility and protection for torn ligament.Great product. Fits well and adjustable. Protects range of motion. Purchased 2 other options and tried all 3. This was the clear winner. Even my OT agreed.Made a difference!I have thumb athritis. Im waiting to get surgery until I cant take the pain anymore. Ive had wrap braces for it. I saw this one and thought I’d give it a go. OMG what a difference. My thumb is secured and I have free movement of my hand. Thanks to this brace I can wait longer to get surgery!Just what I neededArthritis and chronic subluxation of my CMC joint. This is small enough to wear with a watch and use my hand while giving me the stability I need. I’ve tried numerous other braces and this has been a good combination for me. Thinking of buying another one for the other hand.Love it. Doesn’t irritate my skin and is very sturdy.I got one from Walmart that irritated the skin between my thumb and finger. This one doesn’t. The material is comfortable and I can use all of my fingers except for my thumb. It is very well supported. I thought the colors would be too loud but they are not. Worth the money.Works for Dequervain’s tenosynovitis!Bought this for my daughter in college. Using it properly, her thumb pain has nearly resolved! This is a well made splint. You may have to adjust its location and exactly how it fits, just listen to your body and pay attention to how the brace feels.Works greatI suffer from De quervain’s tenosynovitis and have gone through several different braces. This one by far has been the best. While it supports the wrist and thumb it allows free movement of the rest of my fingers, so my hand isn’t so restricted when trying to perform certain task. It gives support in the correct places!Very helpful!I purchased this for Mommy’s thumb. I developed pain in wrist and thumb movements after my baby. This brace helped me in providing a good stability and enabled me to lift my baby with lesser pain.Excellent supportI have an autoimmune disease called scleroderma which has affected the ligaments in my thumb, to the point where I have zero strength. This brace provides excellent support, breathability, and range of motion. I just purchased my second one as a back up.Perfect for de quervains tendinopathyI don’t usually leave reviews, but just wow! it’s a perfect fit and just the support I was looking for. I can accomplish the everyday tasks without hurting my thumb. Definitely recommend! Finally! The best after 4 othersMy primary issue is CMC pain (not clear if tendons, ligaments, arthritic too young, or what). However, I do get some wrist and palm pain occasionally. Years ago a therapist made me hard plastic splints that cover my thumbs and wrists and completely disable them. The pains disappeared and only just returned. I’m hoping to avoid the hard braces by using these. I purchased 4 other pair so far and these are the best. I’ve been using the Velpeau for about a week for typing and gaming (it mostly started hurting from gaming). Instantly, these were more supportive, very comfortable, and relieved pressure/pain. The larger butterfly stay instead of two bars on each side of my thumbs provides more comfortable, firmer support. I can move my thumb CMC joint a little, but in a much more restricted and supportive way. Love them.Others I tried: The Ace Thumb Stabilizer did absolutely nothing to support my CMC, pulled my thumb in so that my hand was clenched and got cramped, and rubbed on the base of my thumbnails, creating sore spots with literal scrapes. Then I tried the Braceability thumb/spica splint that goes all the way up over your wrists. It’s GREAT but is too bulky to type in due to large palm stays, and goes way too far up my forearms to wear my fitness tracker. It will be a good option for non-work hours if my palms or wrists decide to flare up. I just also received the Vive Thumb Splint, which has a little more wrist and palm support than these but is shorter and less bulky than the Braceability. I haven’t worn those yet and will reserve trying them unless I have palm or wrist issues again. In short: if your issue is at the CMC joint and you might need a little wrist support too, these from Valpeau are an excellent option.works great so farUsed for skiers thumb (fractured metacarpal and chip on the trapezium) gets the job done keeps the joint straight and makes it so it wont bend will update with any issues in the next week, medium/small fit my guy hand, I usually wear small to medium gloves and this fits perfect I went to the ortho with this one on, the doc said this support should do the trick cause I have small hands and happened to fit perfect so the thumb wont bend (this is after a three week hard cast unfortunately). This brace also fits under my ski mitts so I can keep snowboarding instead of ski so i dont use poles and further damage my hand. typed review with brace on and I cant use my thumb which is a little annoying but its broken after all so good to keep it from being used on keyboard/spacebar.Very good braceI have osteoarthritis in my thumb that is very painful. I had a mueller brace and while that supported my thumb, my palm and the tip of my thumb was covered up. This brace supports my thumb but the tip of my thumb and palm are useable. Giving me better range of motion for the rest of my hand. It’s also very soft and comfortable. I’ll definitely get one for my other hand when the time comes.Better than the doctor’s splintMy orthopedic doctor prescribed a very expensive brace that turned out to be uncomfortable and did not protect my inflamed thumb joint. This splint is both very comfortable and adjustable. While wearing it I can write, sew, and paint…it even fits under my gardening gloves! It has saved me from having to have further steroid injections in the joint, and I highly recommend it.Very comfortable and fast reliefOnly had this on for about 2 days now and my pain in my thumb joint is significantly better. I wear it to bed and I can type, use my mouse with it. My wrist is small, a little over 5.5″” so sometimes it does move and needs to be repositioned. I am a physical therapist and I would recommend this splint to others.Lifesaver – Has kept me playing my guitar and working around the house.I like that it can be worn on either hand, and that it’s easy to put on and take off. It washes well, but will take a while to dry out completely. I ordered two, as I have pretty bad arthritis at the base of each thumb. Thank goodness, they don’t usually both hurt terribly at the same time! VP0906 They work for me.I have carpeltunnel syndrome in both hands. It does not bother me through the day but does at night. These help keep me from waking up at night in pain. They have stability and are comfortable. This will be in my wood shop 24 x 7Complete relief for pain in my wrist. I’ve has dozens of this kind of wrist support….This is 11 times better than any other device I’ve used.Lightweight and easy to useI have mild carpal tunnel and recently started having thumb pain like de Quervain’s syndrome. I’ve tried a lot of different braces, with or without thumb stabilisation. I often have to use braces on both wrists at night which can be difficult to put the second one on. This one is much easier to manage with one hand already in a brace because the straps are simpler. It’s also less bulky so i don’t feel like I’ve got a big weight on my hand. More importantly, it doesn’t squeeze my fingers together so i can’t straighten them or cut off circulation in certain places while being too loose in other places (i.e., they’ve paid attention to the actual shape of the wrist and designed correctly). The thumb is stabilized but i realized other braces pull it too far out away from the hand and that’s why they are so uncomfortable after a few minutes; this one stabilizes the thumb fairly close to the hand so it’s in a more natural position.I am a grown woman with normal size hands and i wasn’t paying attention and ordered the small which fits perfectly, so i would say these run a bit large. If I’m buying gloves or anything i usually get at least medium. So do pay attention to the size.Sturdy comfortable and help keep my thumb and wrist from movingI got this for my a gamer’s thumb. It kept my wrist in Mobile as well as my thumb which is what I needed. Better than the one I got from the doctor more comfortable and very well made. It did what it’s intended to do for sure.Does exactly what we needed it to do.My husband has tenosynovitis in his thumb and was advised by his doctor to get a thumb brace. It fits well, gives full support and keeps his thumb in place while it recovers. He wears it in the heat of Texas and has not complained about comfort. It is adjustable.Relief!I got this just for de quervain’s tenosynovitis and it works great. I used the size chart to determine that I am a small, and that was right for me. The sizes will generally fit hands of certain measurements, but some personal adjustment is required to make it just right for your hand. For me, I keep the velcro at semi-tight and pull my hand into the brace somewhat to avoid the plate inside the brace pressing into my palm. In that position, I enjoy hours of pain-free activity. The brace offers enough customization that I can get a good fit.I needed a brace with thumb and wrist support. My doctor thought it was perfect and the price was great.AmazingI am a therapist and this is the best hand splint I have used and highly recommend over other brands. My wrist pain is eliminated due to stability and support.Good for de quervain’sI’ve used several braces for my tenosynovitis but this is the only one I can wear all day and it’s never uncomfortable. It doesn’t dig in anywhere, easy to adjust and take apart. Gets a little sweaty in hot weather but dries out quick if you take it off for a little while. Recommended if you need a brace to immobilize your thumb.Comfortable and extremely helpful for De Quervain’sDefinitely did its job on keeping everything immobile that needed to be! I wore it for 6 weeks almost 24 hours a day to alleviate my De Quervain’s, and it worked! Now I can go brace-free! Don’t forget to hand-wash it every few days though – it gets nasty kinda fast, especially in the summer. This is a great braceUsing this for both arthritis and tendinitis. It is lightweight but sturdy and very comfortable. Would definitely recommend this.Great pain relief for De Quervain’sI appear to have a mix of De Quervain’s tendondosynovitis and mild carpal tunnel syndrome (repetitive strain injuries from heavy keyboard and mouse usage). The first time I put this brace on, I was amazed at how much pain relief it provided compared to my other wrist braces (I have five of them!).I also have very small wrists (circumference 5 3/4″”) and a small frame overall, and the small size of this brace adjusts to fit me pretty well. This brace seems to be well constructed, and I think it will hold up well to daily wear. It’s hand washable, too. This brace immobilizes the joint at the base of the thumb very well, which is what it’s designed to do. The downside of this is that you are limited in what you can do while wearing it. The other four fingers still have excellent mobility, though. So, if you need to get the thumb stabilized, this is a great brace. If you don’t need to have the thumb restricted, you might be happier with a brace with an open thumb area.Mommy ThumbLike many new mothers, I have a good old case of mommy thumb. It’s horrible. It got to a point where I couldn’t pick up my son. This brace fits perfectly, is comfortable (I can wear it pretty much all day), and most importantly I can take care of my son without fear of dropping him or further damaging my wrist.Stablizes my thumb and keeps me from re-injuryMy doctor recommended this product and it is perfect. Very comfortable, yet strong enough to keep me from injury. I had gotten tendonitis from over-use of computer mouse and keyboard – got a little to excited about my online business! This wonderful brace did the trick – thank you!Pain Free and can still use hand and wrist!Easy to figure out and apply to dominant wrist by myself. Received this quickly, via UPS, and have been wearing several hours now in place of another, older splint. The Velpeau splint/brace is SO MUCH more comfortable and already helping with constant cracking, popping, swelling, pain, inflammation and stiffness of sudden onset, arthritis symptoms caused by a severe allergic reaction to a quarterly injection of new medication I received recently. No medications have helped, and to be honest, I’m rather leary of taking any further medications at this point. I purchased this splint for my dominant hand, hoping for some relief so I could maybe start functioning again. I’m so happy with it after just a few hours of finally being pain free, I’ve already ordered a second one for my non-dominant hand! Thank you 😊Medium fits my wrist perfectlyThis wrist brace is for the right hand. I wear a size 8 glove, but the medium in this wrist brace fits my wrist and right hand perfectly. This is a great wrist and thumb brace for anyone with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, or osteoarthritis. The wrist brace will stabilize the thumb and keep the pressure off the wrist and thumb. I can still type with this brace on, but not fast. It does relieve the pain and that is what I need.Very happy with this, already see improvements with my tendonitisMy thumb has been really bothering me as of late. I didn’t get it checked out, mostly no time but also with COVID I try to go to the doc unless it is super serious. Having dealt with a lot of injuries over the years so I had a good idea that this is probably a form of tendonitis. So after some online research I found out that I am probably on the right track and that it is most likely De Quervain’s Tenosynovitis based on location of the pain and all the symptoms I looked up treatment and all they would do is tell me to take some ibuprofen, ice it and immobilize it as much as possible with a brace like this, I figured save myself the copay and just try all those on my own and see where I would get.So after some measuring I ordered the brace and am happy to report the sizing was 100% accurate. The brace is comfortable but I do need some breaks from it on occasion. I do try to wear it as often as possible especially when I don’t do anything (sleep, watch tv, read,…) and I have to say after even just a few days of wearing it the pain is already getting significantly better. I will continue using this as often as possible to get fully rid of the pain which could be up to 4 to 8 weeks especially since I do not wear it 24/7. All in all I am very happy with this. It does have a metal splint in it in the front that you can remove. That one is more important if you have carpal tunnel which I don’t have. VP0907 Excellent productI’m an Occupational Therapist and a seamstress. I have arthritis in my left thumb and have tried several splints and other modalities to increase my functional grip and decrease pain in the thumb joint. I bought this splint on a whim because the other, more expensive, push splint that I’ve been using was unavailable. I have been able to sleep in this splint and use it for most activities without residual stiffness and pain when I remove it. I just purchased a second one for my left hand. The only thing I do not like about it is the color. If it were flesh colored it would be less obvious.AwesomeThis is a great brace for pain in thumb. I really like that there is a replacement velcro strip! My last brace, you couldn’t replace it. Once it wore out, it was useless.Works great!“This brace stabilized my thumb and is not cumbersome like other braces I’ve tried. Rubs the base of my index finger, but I think it’s gonna be ok with a little bandaid to protect my shin from the brace rubbing. Plus with time my skin will toughen up and it won’t irritate that one area. Great brace!”Costs Less Than OthersBecause I have CMC arthritis, my doctor recommended a thumb brace that costs $90. After looking on Amazon, I found a similar looking brace: the Velpeau Thumb Support Brace for $40. After wearing the brace for a couple weeks, I have noticed that it does stabilize my joint and thus reduces my pain. Although the brace does not eliminate the pain completely, the brace also serves as a good reminder to use my other hand or to ask for help. Included with the thumb brace is a paper tape measure to measure the palm circumference, but it seems a bit late. As a woman with a large hand, the medium fit my hand well. Additionally, the brace comes with an extra velcro piece and a liner. Because the liner becomes easily soiled after a day’s work, I wish the brace came with extra liners. If I need a quick liner, I wrap my joint using KT tape.Comfortable, easy to wash, dry, and adjust! This brace is much more comfortable than the other name brand one that my doctor supplied me with. There’s no extended piece of plastic wrapping around the dorsal aspect of the hand, which the other brand had that gave me a callus sore on my wrist. Easy to wash, dry, and adjust!Seems to do the trickTwo days ago I was putting away a large plate I had in my left hand. Next thing you know it just slipped out of my grip. I just dropped it. My thumb is really making life’s normal things difficult. The pain has been ridiculous! I seem to drop everything due to the sudden and sharp pain. Anyway, when I dropped the plate it landed straight up and down on my toes and I broke my pinky toe and the one next to it!!! I had already ordered this product and was waiting for it to arrive. It came early today. I opened the package and put it on. I didn’t read the directions started to complain to my husband that it wasn’t helping. I grabbed the box and instructions and began to read. There’s a metal band that you have to form to your hand to put the proper pressure in the right place for you. Everyone is different. Once I had it right for me it took about 15 minutes and I started to get relief. I’ve been wearing it for several hours and I can’t get over how much less the pain is. I can deal with a dull ache every once in a while. No more thumping or shooting pain. I’ve been cooking our Easter dinner and the device is still comfortable. No rubbing or gouging any where. The only thing I may have a concern about is if the sleeve that comes with it needs replaced. They give you an extra set of straps but only one sleeve. That’s not enough to ding the ratting over but not sure how long sleeve will hold up. I recommend this to anyone who is struggling with this type of thumb pain. It sure helped me and I was about to go out and buy one of those huge and intrusive devices at the local drug store. This device is very low profile. You don’t feel like everyone is looking at your hand. So far I’m liking it a lot.FYI update!: I’ve had this device on for 8 or so hours and doing well. I found that if I had twinges of uncomfortable pain I could tighten up the bottom strap to increase pressure where the metal pressure point is and the pain stops. Don’t tighten the top strap too much or you may risk uncomfortable pressure or rubbing of the device between thumb and index finger. It may take a little twerking here and there but it’s worth it.Very comfortable, cradles joint perfectly!Pain in CMC thumb joint from a fall over a year ago. Came to realize it’s damaged for life now. Have tried many different types of braces and compression support sleeves. Also tried buying the Push brand that costs over $100. Wore that see fit 1 day and it made joint more painful to be honest. Returned that 1 and decided to give this 1 a shot. The light compression sleeve it comes with is a very nice bonus. As well as having an extra Velcro strap and the ability to replace the stap. I was amazed how nicely the brace cradles my thumb! It comes in full contact with all areas, the squeeze from the metal insert is so comfy. The Push brand actually hurt the top side of my HAND / CMC JOINT. That brand felt like someone was gouging that spot with a screwdriver. I even tried that bran more loose fitting. No matter how I adjusted, it simply hurt. The VELPEAU BRAND is so incredibly comfortable and I’m able to adjust the Velcro straps to give firm compression and it does not feel tight or pinch like the Push brand did that cost 3 times as much and also does not have replaceable Velcro or the bonus compression sleeve. THE VELPEAU IS THE BEST FOR NEEDED RELIEF YOU ARE SEEKING! The value of what you are getting and relief desired is incredibly priced for those that don’t want to spend 100 on a simple brace. This brace is so worth the money. In the time I’ve been swyping this review, my left thumb would be throbbing in pain by now. It’s so awesome, it just hugs the area in firm comfort. The Push brand, when I would use my phone like this, I could not get a comfortable hold and it caused more pain besides just the throbbing CMC joint. THANK YOU VELPEAU, Y’ALL MADE AN INCREDIBLE BRACE FOR A REASONABLE PRICE! FINALLY I FEEL RELIEF IN MY LEFT HAND!effective and comfortable to wearReduces arthritic thumb pain as desired. Comfortable to wear. Small profile. Comes with replacement strap and skin tone elastic liner included.Works as well as the Expensive ones!I like the fact that the straps are replaceable. They are as comfortable as the ‘prescribed’ one that cost twice as much (plus my former one does not have replaceable Velcro).Works!I have arthritis in both of my thumbs – the left more than the right. I have tried typical splints/braces but I work with children so I have to still use my hands alot during the day and the other braces impeded my ability to do my job. This splint is awesome. It targets the area where I have the most pain, immobilizes it but yet still allows freedom of the other digits. I love the fact that its plastic which lends to the stability and I can rinse it if I happen to get something on it. It goes on and comes off easily, the velcro is secure and can be put on with one hand. Great product!Extremely comfortable and stops joint painI own about four different types of thumb braces that don’t really immobilize the thumb base joint . I saw more expensive versions of this type of brace but I needed two , one for each hand so I never bought it. I came across this less expensive one by chance and ordered one for my dominant right hand. It worked so well two days later bought one for the left hand. I even sleep with them on when needed. There is a little compression sleeve you can use under the brace if you want. I find it comfy without the sleeve. It truly immobilizes the base of your thumb and you can grip and do everything you normally do without the bones crunching and rubbing together. I highly recommend it. It also comes with an extra Velcro strip. I’d like to buy another Velcro strip but if I can’t find one I will go to the craft store and buy some strips and McGuyver something :). Amazing brace and very comfy .Highly recommendedDefinitely reliable and very good! It also came with an off extra sleeve that is very elastic but durable as well. Very pleased with how it’s providing mild pressure on my thumb. It does it’s job forsure by isolating my skin against the rubber which is a bonus. Also the black strap is replaceable! Definitely will recommend people to buy this product.Help for the pain!I tried another brace (dr recommemded) had gotten it in a small, needed the next size up and it was more expensive. Saw this one and that the price was reasonable and also came with the lottle sleeve to.wear underneath, figured would give it a try, got it in the medium and the fit is much better. Thanks有道词典Costs Less Than Others详细X成本低于其他人 VP0908 Works fairly well and not awkward to use.Like that is light weight and comfortable…great for sore thumb joint.First Impression Was That They Were Flimsy But They Work And Work WellWhen I first saw the package that these thumb supports come in, I thought that anything that comes in a package that small couldn’t do anything to help my thumb, it just wouldn’t be able to provide any support. Boy was I wrong. These things are great. I don’t know exactly what’s wrong with my left thumb but I know it hurts, a lot. I have a larger brace, shown in two of the photos, that I’ve been wearing. The larger brace serves a purpose but it’s overly restrictive. These VELPEAU braces are extremely lightweight but provide enough support to keep my thumb relatively stable. I now wear these thumb braces 24/7. I still use the larger brace when I’m doing physical labor (I do a lot of yard & garden work) but even when using the larger brace I keep the VELPEAU brace on underneath the large brace. It makes the large brace more comfortable. I’ve washed the VELPEAU braces a few times and and they’re still good as new. I just wash the one I’m wearing it in the shower at night and use the second one for sleep. In the morning the washed one is dry and ready for use. I’m thrilled with these braces, they’ve eliminated a lot of pain and I very highly recommend giving ’em a try.I’m ordering a second pair!I love these! I have bad arthritis in my big thumb joints and these actually help a ton. They are comfortable to wear and I am going to buy a second pair so when I have to wash one pair I can still have a pair to wear. I am really thankful for them. I can type wearing them. I can play piano wearing them. I can draw and write — exactly what I needed (and I didn’t even know till I had them).
